PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Elizabethtown, Stormwater Department, in accordance with National
Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of intent to revise the flood
hazard information along Buffalo Creek Tributary No. 3. The revised stream reach extends from
its confluence with Buffalo Creek upstream to a detention basin near Manchester Drive.
Specifically, the flood hazard information will be revised from a point approximately 1,000 feet
downstream (south) of US-62 / N. Mulberry Street (near the intersection with Ring Road),
upstream (north) to a point approximately 100 feet beyond Manchester Drive.
As a result of the revision, the FEMA flood zone designation will change from Zone “A” to Zone
“AE”, a floodway will be established, the 1-percent-annual-chance water-surface elevations will
be established, and the 1-percent-annual-chance floodplain will narrow within the area of
revision.

The revised Buffalo Creek Tributary No. 3 stream reach extends from its confluence with Buffalo Creek upstream to a detention basin near Manchester Dr. The proposed revised floodplain maps for Buffalo Creek Tributary No. 3 are located HERE.
