This holiday season, treat yourself and your family to this brilliant display of lights at Freeman Lake Park. With more than 100 displays, the City of Elizabethtown’s Christmas in the Park is for everyone to enjoy again and again. An illuminated roadway will guide you through this beautiful spectacle of Christmas spirit. In its’ 30th year, the event has grown exponentially offering a variety of ways to enjoy and celebrate Christmas. The lighting tour is free to drive through but donations are gladly accepted. All donations go towards the electricity costs and adding in new displays and updates each year. Stop in to see your Christmas faves from Rudolph, to Christmas themed Star Wars, nativity, and more.
When: Christmas in the Park will be open every evening from November 25, 2020 – January 1, 2021 from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Where: Enter the main gates at Blue Heron Way, Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
How: Turn off your headlights when prompted by the sign, tune into the posted radio station, and slowly drive through the park. Bring along your favorite holiday cocoa, roll the windows down and watch as the children’s eyes sparkle at the lights.
Who: Everyone! We see over 80,000 in attendance each year! Make this your holiday tradition if you haven’t already!
**What you can’t do: Please don’t pull off on side or exit your vehicle. You must stay in line and in your vehicle as you enjoy the lights.
