Adventure, Friendship, and Summer Fun Await at Elizabethtown Parks & Rec Summer Day Camp
Get ready for a summer packed with laughter, learning, and new adventures! Elizabethtown Parks & Recreation is excited to welcome back its popular Youth Summer Day Camp, open to children ages 6–11 living in Elizabethtown and Hardin County.
Running for seven themed weeks between June 2 and July 25, this camp offers kids a full day of fun and discovery — from swimming at the American Legion Waterpark to weekly playground visits, movies, crafts, and special guest speakers. Each week features a unique theme like Adventure Awaits, Down on the Farm, and Superhero Academy, designed to spark imagination and keep kids engaged.
Campers will be dropped off and picked up each day at the Pritchard Community Center, the home base for the program where campers enjoy breakfast, lunch, and daily group activities before heading out on field trips or site visits that connect with the week’s theme.
Camp runs Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with half days on Fridays ending at 12:00 p.m. The cost is $115 per child, per week, and scholarships are available for qualifying families.
⚠️ Registration opens Monday, April 14 at 8:00 a.m. and closes May 23 — but don’t wait! With only 40 spots available per week, camp sessions are known to fill up within days.
