CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK PLANNING BEGINS AND MORE PARTICIPATION NEEDED
The 29th Annual Christmas in the Park planning has officially begun. Those wishing to participate in the annual light display have until September 1st to submit their information.
Christmas in the Park will open to the public on Wednesday, November 25th, the night before Thanksgiving. The Park is open for patrons 6:00-11:00 pm nightly until January 1st, 2021.
There are typically over 120 displays and welcome 60,000-120,000 people to view them each year.
“I know it seems too early to be thinking about Christmas,” said City of E-town Events Program Manager. “But we have begun the planning process and we’re expecting to have multiple spots become vacant for the 2020 season. We hope this doesn’t happen; however, we wanted to start recruiting more participants just in case. We’re always looking to add new and fresh displays to the event each year.”
There is no cost to participate in Christmas in the Park, other than the cost of the actual display. To be approved as an official vendor each participant must adhere to the guidelines, fill out an application, and get the display set-up approved by the Christmas in the Park committee.
To download an application, go to www.etownevents.com and click on the Christmas in the Park logo. All submissions are due no later than September 1st. Previous year’s participants do not have to submit a new application unless they are changing their entire display.
