ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that City of Elizabethtown will receive sealed bids for the Bush Lane Sanitary Sewer Interceptor – Phase 2 at the office of the City Clerk. City Hall, 3rd floor, 200 West Dixie Avenue, P.O. Box 550, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42702 until 10:00AM local time Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The successful bidder shall provide warranty, bonding and proof of insurance as specified. Preference shall be given to Kentucky resident bidders and non-resident bidders from states which do not require preference to resident bidders.
This project generally consists of, but is not limited to: bore & dry jack 24-inch diameter steel casing to accommodate 18-inch diameter gravity sewer, bore & dry jack 18-inch diameter steel casing to accommodate 12-inch diameter gravity sewer, install 18-inch, 12-inch and 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer, install sanitary sewer manholes, remove two submersible pump lift stations from service (demolish and remove or convert to manhole), bypass pumping, restore paved surfaces, re-establish disturbed turf, etc. Bidding documents may be examined at Engineering Design Group, Inc. located at 315 South Mulberry Street; Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701. Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.
Contract drawings, Specifications and Bid Forms may be obtained from City Clerk’s office at the address listed above. Contract Documents will be available on Monday 18 November 2019. There will be a non-refundable deposit of $50 for hard copy of Construction Drawings, Specifications and Bid Form. All contract documents are available in PDF format at no cost upon request. Construction must be completed within 270 calendar days after date of notice to proceed.
City of Elizabethtown reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to let the contract as a whole or for any part, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
